Auckland Memorials Master Masons is more than just a name; it’s a promise of quality, tradition, and heartfelt dedication. Founded by Master Mason Adrian Hopper, a passed mason of Durham Cathedral, in my workshop in West Auckland I have been crafting some of the most exquisite memorials in Northern England across four decades. The machine can not replicate the touch of the human hand and each piece is a testament to the touch of the human hand, a skill honed through years of passion and practice. From personal experience I understand that choosing a memorial is deeply personal, and I’m here to guide you with compassion, empathy and expertise, ensuring every detail reflects your wishes and makes the process as smooth as possible.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Welcome to Auckland Memorials, the home of the most beautiful letter carving and the noble art of carving memorial stones in the North East by a genuine time served craftsman and Master Mason.
Auckland Memorials was founded by master mason Adrian Hopper who, as well as having a lifelong passion for the art of the carved letter, is a genuine passed mason to Durham Cathedral as well as a college and university graduate. Now with experience spanning across four decades some of the most beautiful memorials in Northern England are produced here.
The art of stonework runs in my family and I worked on the restoration of the east end of Durham Cathedral from 1993 to 1996.
I pride myself on delivering lasting monuments to honour your loved ones and provide a high quality, bespoke service whilst keeping the cost the most competitive in Northern England.
I am also a former British Serviceman and my meticulous attention to detail shows in the quality of my work as a master stonemason now.
